for the general setup + applications in class on optimal growth and
neoclassical growth model. ·
Ch.5: Sections 5.1-5.5 (pp.189-207). ·
Ch.6, Section 6.9 (pp.292-301). ·

the papers on the course outline you are responsible only for the material I
covered in class and the material on your assignments. You

are responsible for all of Ch.1 and Ch.2A in Romer,
EXCEPT for the following sections: ·
Section 1.8 from Ch.1 (“Economic Growth and
the Environment”). ·
Ch.2, “Rate of Adjustment …”, and “Speed of
Adjustment”. In addition the material includes: § the class notes on Optimal Control and use of Hamiltonians (Note:
you need the Hamiltonian for the optimal growth problem). § the AK
model § discrete
time version of the neoclassical growth model You
are also responsible for the assignment, and the three sets of practice
questions. From
the papers on the course outline you are responsible for all the material I
covered in class and the material on your assignments/practice questions. |

completed the discussion on the dynamics of the RCK this week’s tutorial will
not cover this set of exercises. Instead, Leandro will go over a two-period
version of the model and cover some remaining exercises from Practice Set
1.
